Residents and staff from Orchard Blythe Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful afternoon of friendship, laughter, and delicious treats during a special visit to the Grimscote Manor Hotel on 7 May 2026.
The outing was organised alongside the local Forget Me Not Café community group, which Orchard Blythe regularly attends every fortnight as part of its ongoing commitment to community engagement and supporting meaningful social connections for residents.
Guests were treated to a relaxing afternoon tea experience complete with cakes, refreshments, and plenty of conversation in a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Residents, staff, and members of the local community group spent the afternoon chatting, smiling, and enjoying each other’s company.
Residents also shared their enjoyment of the day, with comments including: “The food was just amazing,” “What a wonderful day we have had,” and “It’s so nice to be able to join our friends for such a fantastic day.”
One of the standout moments for the team was seeing residents’ faces “light up with happiness” throughout the afternoon, highlighting the positive impact community activities can have on wellbeing and social connection.
The Forget Me Not Café group regularly arranges events and outings for members of the community, helping to create lasting friendships and experiences for all involved.
