Residents from Four Acres Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a wonderful day out on 6 May 2026 during a special visit to the Stratford Butterfly Farm.
The trip saw residents and team members spend the day exploring the tropical butterfly attraction, taking in the colourful surroundings and enjoying time together in the community.
The outing was arranged after the home had access to the bus for the day, with residents choosing the butterfly farm as their destination. Throughout the visit, residents enjoyed seeing the butterflies flying around them, chatting with others, and making new memories together.
Kayleigh, Lifestyle Team Member at Four Acres, said the trip highlighted the importance of helping residents remain active within the community and experience new places and activities.
One resident shared her excitement during the visit, commenting: “I love it here, seeing all the colours flying around.”
The atmosphere throughout the day was described as amazing, with smiles all around as residents fully embraced the experience. One of the standout moments for staff was simply seeing the happiness on residents’ faces and watching them enjoy every moment of the trip.
The visit forms part of Four Acres ongoing commitment to supporting meaningful activities and enriching experiences for residents both inside and outside the home.
