Residents and staff at Frank Foster House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together to celebrate International Nurses Day with a special lunch and party honouring the dedication and compassion of the home’s nursing team.
The celebration brought together residents, staff and guests in a warm and welcoming atmosphere, recognising the important role nurses play in providing exceptional care and support every day.
Nicolas commented:
“We were very lucky to celebrate with Liz, our Matron, and to thank all our nurses for their hard work, dedication and the care they give every single day.”
As part of the celebrations, residents and staff shared a lovely lunch together, creating an enjoyable and meaningful occasion for everyone involved. The event also included a special welcome for Betty, who previously worked as a Matron, giving residents and staff the opportunity to share memories and appreciation for the nursing profession.
International Nurses Day is an important opportunity to recognise and celebrate the commitment, kindness and professionalism shown by nurses in caring for others and supporting residents’ wellbeing.
The event highlighted the strong sense of community within Frank Foster House and gave everyone the chance to come together in gratitude.
