Residents at Liberty House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a relaxing and enjoyable day out after visiting Walkers Nurseries & Garden Centre in Blaxton, Doncaster, on 7 May 2026.
The trip, organised by the Lifestyle Team, saw residents travel by minibus to the popular garden centre where they spent time exploring the beautiful displays of flowers and plants, visiting the animals, and browsing the gift shop filled with homemade treats and unique items.
The outing created a calm and cheerful atmosphere, giving residents the opportunity to enjoy the fresh air, socialise, and take in the wonderful sights around them.
Resident Freda said: “I had a wonderful day out. We saw some beautiful flowers and plants that had bloomed.”
Fellow resident Audrey added: “I haven’t been to a garden centre for a while, so I really enjoyed myself having a gentle walk around and seeing all the flowers and animals.”
Rukshani, Lifestyle Coordinator at Liberty House, said: “It was wonderful to see how much our residents enjoyed looking at everything, and seeing the animals really made our day special.”
