Crowstone House, part of the Runwood homes group, is delighted to have been invited to submit artwork for the annual exhibition at Southend Library this August.
After chatting with residents, we decided to create two collaborative pieces inspired by our beautiful coastal location. Our first artwork follows a beach theme, with residents collecting sand, pebbles and shells from the local beach to incorporate into the design. The activity provided a wonderful opportunity to explore the seaside while enjoying a sensory and creative experience.
Our second piece, “Reach for the Stars,” celebrates individuality and teamwork. Residents created handprints and decorated them using a variety of materials, including paint, pens, glitter, mosaic pieces and tissue paper, resulting in a truly unique and colourful masterpiece.
We are incredibly proud of the creativity, enthusiasm and teamwork shown by our residents. Their artwork, along with pieces from other Runwood Homes, will be on display at Southend Library from 4th August.
