Residents, families and staff at Elizabeth House, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together on 8 July 2026 for a joint Macmillan Coffee Morning and Summer Sports Day, filled with sunshine, laughter and community spirit.
The event featured a Macmillan Coffee Morning with cakes and refreshments, followed by a fun summer sports day with activities for residents and families to enjoy together.
Danielle McGuinness, Receptionist at Elizabeth House, said:
“Seeing all the residents participate in the sports games and really enjoying themselves was an extremely heartwarming moment.”
The day was full of joyful moments, with residents cheering, laughing and spending quality time with their families. Dolinas’ family loved seeing the residents outside in the open air and enjoying the activities.
The event highlighted the importance of outdoor activities for residents’ wellbeing, helping to boost mood, encourage stimulation and create opportunities for friendships and social connections.
