Residents at Greenbanks Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently welcomed pupils from Holyrood School for a gardening session.
The visit saw pupils work alongside residents to plant a variety of flowers in the garden, creating a beautiful display that everyone can enjoy throughout the seasons.
One particularly touching highlight came when resident Susan recognised one of the Holyrood teachers and discovered they had attended the same high school many years ago.
Reflecting on the visit, resident Maureen said:
“I am amazed that the kids are so lovely and well-behaved. They are so cooperative and well-coordinated. They remind me of my son’s daughter.”
Greenbanks Care Home looks forward to welcoming Holyrood School back for future activities as the partnership continues to flourish, bringing smiles to residents and pupils alike.
