Residents from Redbond Lodge Care Home enjoyed a relaxing summer day at Writtle Sunflowers at Pooty Pools Farm on 27th July, strolling through fields of vibrant sunflowers and wildflowers.
After seeing the attraction advertised, residents, family members and staff spent time admiring the colourful displays, watching butterflies and bees, and enjoying the peaceful countryside.
The outing gave residents the chance to enjoy the outdoors, connect with the local community and experience the wellbeing benefits of nature.
Karen, Lifestyle Coordinator at Redbond Lodge Care Home, said: “It was wonderful to see everyone enjoying such a peaceful setting. Watching our residents and their families relax and appreciate nature made the day truly special.”
Resident Iris Sinclair said: “It was absolutely wonderful.”
The visit left residents with lasting memories, offering a calm escape and plenty of smiles in the heart of the countryside.
