The Mill House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, welcomed residents, families, friends and members of the local community for an afternoon of summer fun at its annual Summer Community Fete.
Visitors enjoyed a traditional tombola, raffle, games, cakes, stalls, and live music. A local ice cream van provided the perfect summer treat.
A fantastic display of classic cars was another highlight of the day, attracting plenty of attention from residents and visitors. Norfolk Blood Bikes also joined the celebrations and were warmly welcomed by everyone at the home.
One resident said: “It’s so beautiful with all the bunting and balloons.”
A community member described it simply as a “lovely day with lovely people,” while a resident’s family member added: “Well done for Saturday’s fete. It was lovely to see residents, staff and visitors enjoying the sun and entertainment.”
The classic car display was also a favourite, with one community member commenting: “The classic cars were a great addition, and such lovely people.”
Norfolk Blood Bikes said: “A big thank you from Norfolk Blood Bikes. It was a fantastic day, and we had such a lovely time being part of it. Thank you for making us feel so welcome!”
The Summer Community Fete is an annual tradition at The Mill House. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make the day possible and to all the residents, relatives, staff and the community who came along and supported the event.
