Residents at Woodbury Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a very special Country & Western Day.
The idea came from Woodbury Court’s wishing tree, where residents are encouraged to share their hopes, and activities they would love to experience. May, a resident at Woodbury Court, placed a wish on the tree for a Country & Western Day filled with music and dancing. May had always enjoyed Country & Western music and loved going dancing with her late husband, Johnny, making the wish particularly special to her.
The team set about making May’s wish come true, with the home filled with Country & Western music, singing, dancing, laughter and fun. Residents embraced the occasion, singing and dancing along. There were also plenty of delicious cakes and treats for everyone to enjoy.
For May, seeing her wish come to life was particularly special as she was able to dance and reconnect with the happy memories she shared with her late husband Johnny.
The day brought plenty of smiles and laughter, while giving residents the opportunity to make new memories together.
