Carolyne House Residents Enjoy Magical West End Theatre Trip to See Les Misérables

Iris, a resident from Carolyne House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a special minibus trip to London to see the West End production of Les Misérables, accompanied by her daughter and granddaughter.

The idea came about when Iris shared that she had always dreamed of seeing a West End show. When asked which production she would most love to see, she immediately chose Les Misérables. Determined to make her wish a reality, the Carolyne House team began planning the trip, carefully arranging transport and accessible seating to ensure she could enjoy the experience comfortably.

Two other Carolyne House residents, Stephen and Selena, also expressed an interest in joining the outing.

One of the highlights was Iris enjoying the performance from a theatre box, which made her feel like royalty. Reflecting on the day, the experience was described as “a magical experience”, with appreciation for the minibus driver who helped make the trip possible.
