Residents and families came together for a heartwarming Beauty and the Beast-themed afternoon tea in the café on Poppy Unit at Windle Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, to celebrate Valentine’s Day.
Charlotte, Lifestyle Coordination, said it was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and families coming together to create meaningful memories for residents and their loved ones.
Guests enjoyed delicious scones, fresh fruit, tea, coffee, and a glass of wine, while talented singer Wendy, dressed as a princess, delivered a fantastic performance that had everyone singing along and feeling the love.
Residents Jean and Rose shared their appreciation. Jean said, “I had the most amazing time today; the singer was amazing, and I loved spending time with my family.” Rose also thanked the staff for all their hard work in making the event so beautiful.
The annual celebration was a true team effort from everyone at Windle Court, providing a special opportunity for residents and their families to connect and celebrate love together. The highlight of the afternoon was seeing residents and families sharing smiles, laughter, and meaningful moments side by side.
