The magic of Christmas came to life at Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, this year with a heartwarming celebration on Christmas Eve. The event featured a festive Christmas party with music, dancing, delicious drinks, and traditional mince pies, creating a joyous atmosphere for all involved.
The highlight of the evening was a surprise visit from Santa Claus, who brought smiles and cheer to the residents by delivering personalised Christmas presents. These thoughtful gifts were donated by the local community through Tesco’s Wishing Tree initiative, where generous individuals selected and donated gifts to brighten the holidays for the residents of Westwood Care Home.
The event was a wonderful display of community spirit, with staff and residents coming together to celebrate the holiday season and share in the joy of giving and receiving. The festivities served as a reminder of the importance of community connections, especially during the holiday season.
“We are so grateful to the local community for their overwhelming support in making this event possible,” said Natasha & Chloe, Lifestyle Coordinators at Westwood Care Home. “It was truly magical to see the smiles on the faces of our residents as Santa delivered their presents. This celebration not only brought our residents joy but also helped strengthen the bond between Westwood Care Home and the wonderful people who support us.”
The Christmas Eve visit from Santa was a memorable and heartwarming experience for all involved, reminding everyone of the true meaning of the season: togetherness, kindness, and the joy of giving.
