Alexandra House Celebrates Resident Ada’s 106th Birthday!

Alexandra House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, was filled with music and plenty of cake as residents, relatives and team members came together to celebrate a very special milestone – Ada’s 106th birthday.

Born in the East End of London within the sound of the Bow Bells, Ada is a proud Cockney and a much-loved resident. To make her 106th birthday especially memorable, the team organised an afternoon party complete with live music from singer Paul Bormond.

One highlight came when Ada took to the microphone herself and sang along to one of her favourite songs, much to the delight of everyone gathered.

Ada’s son, Graham, thanked the home, saying, ‘I would like to give my heartfelt thanks to everyone for the wonderful celebration of Mum’s 106th birthday. It was truly exceptional in every way, including the caring and love shown to Mum by the staff.’

Singer Paul said: “It was an honour singing for Ada.

Events like these are at the heart of life at Alexandra House, celebrating our residents’ individuality and the special milestones that mean so much.
