Bennett Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, recently played a key role in bringing care home communities together by hosting a large-scale virtual bingo event, connecting 34 homes via Zoom for an afternoon of fun and friendly competition.
The event was led by Jack, Lifestyle Coordinator at Bennett Lodge, who took on the role of bingo caller for all participating homes. Broadcasting live from Bennett Lodge, Jack called out each number to residents across the group, creating an engaging and shared experience for everyone involved.
Commenting on the event, residents shared their enthusiasm, saying they “love a game of bingo” and describing it as a “good game.” Families also praised the initiative, with one family member commenting on how brave Jack was to take on such a large and interactive activity.
The atmosphere throughout the session was lively and intense, with residents fully immersed in the game while enjoying plenty of laughs along the way. Seeing so many homes and participants on screen at once added to the excitement and sense of togetherness.
Events like this play an important role in connecting homes, encouraging social interaction and creating shared moments of joy across the wider care community. The virtual bingo session was a great example of how technology can be used to bring people together, no matter where they are located.
