Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group was filled with laughter and colour on 11th December as staff and residents came together to celebrate Christmas Jumper Day, bringing festive spirit to every corner of the home.
Sophie, Lifestyle Coordinator at Ivy Court, shared how heart-warming the occasion was:
“Families smiled with joy when they saw staff all dressed up. One family member said it’s great to see how involved we are.”
Staff members proudly wore their most festive, funny and bright Christmas jumpers, creating a lively and cheerful atmosphere for residents. Both residents and staff took part, helping to keep Christmas cheer and spirits high throughout the home.
The idea came as part of the national celebration of Christmas Jumper Day, giving everyone a chance to embrace the season together.
The atmosphere was described as funny and full of good humour, with plenty of smiles shared between residents and team members.
A standout moment of the day was the maintenance operative’s jumper, which residents found absolutely hilarious and quickly became the talking point of the event.
