Frank Foster House Care Home, part of Runwood Homes Group, was filled with festive spirit on 11 December 2025 when a local nursery visited the care home to share the joy of Christmas through a special intergenerational event.

The children delighted residents by singing traditional Christmas carols, creating a heartwarming atmosphere of togetherness, music, and celebration. Residents, staff, and visitors gathered to enjoy the performances, with many residents singing along and smiling as the nursery children spread seasonal cheer throughout the home.

The visit was arranged after Nicolas, Home Manager at Frank Foster House ,who coordinated with the local nursery, reached out to strengthen community links and create meaningful intergenerational experiences for residents. Events like this play an important role in enhancing wellbeing, encouraging social interaction, and fostering a strong sense of community within the care home.

Community members also shared positive feedback following the visit, with one commenting:
“It was lovely to see the residents enjoying such a special moment.”

The atmosphere throughout the event was joyful, warm, and uplifting, with laughter, gentle conversation, and festive music filling the home. A standout highlight was seeing residents and children singing together, creating a truly memorable Christmas moment for everyone involved.

Frank Foster House would like to thank the local nursery, their staff, and all those who helped make the visit such a success. The care home looks forward to continuing to build strong community connections and hosting more intergenerational events in the future.
