Residents and staff at Humfrey Lodge Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a lovely day out at Scotsdales Garden Centre, where they took a leisurely stroll around the centre and admired the beautiful plants and seasonal displays.
After exploring the garden centre, Humfrey Lodge residents relaxed with a hot drink and spent time chatting with their friends. It was a lovely opportunity to enjoy a change of scenery, spend time together and make the most of a relaxing day out.
The Humfrey Lodge minibus trips are an important part of life at the home, giving residents the opportunity to visit places they enjoy, spend time with friends and stay connected with the local community.
Humfrey Lodge resident Irene particularly enjoyed the visit, saying: “I really enjoyed our trip to the garden centre. It was nice to have a look around at all the beautiful plants and flowers, and I enjoyed having a nice hot drink and a chat with my friends. It was a great day out, and I’m looking forward to our next minibus trip!”
The team were delighted to see the smiles and enjoyment the outing brought to residents and are looking forward to planning more minibus trips and creating further opportunities to enjoy days out together.
