Residents from Jubilee Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a memorable minibus trip to Twycross Zoo.
The idea came about following conversations with residents about their recent animal visit at the home. When resident Margaret suggested visiting Twycross Zoo, the team at Jubilee Court were delighted to make it happen.
Seeing the animals made Margaret’s day and created special memories for everyone who joined the trip. The meerkats proved particularly popular, with some residents joking that they would quite happily have taken one home!
The visit also reflected something at the heart of life at Jubilee Court: listening to residents and supporting them in continuing to do the things that matter to them.
The trip was another example of Jubilee Court’s commitment to creating meaningful experiences shaped by residents’ individual interests.
