Residents and staff at Liberty House, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together on 15 July to celebrate an incredible milestone as resident Freda turned 107 years old.
The special day was filled with love, laughter and memories as Freda enjoyed opening her birthday cards and presents, sharing cake with fellow residents and proudly showing everyone her special card from His Majesty The King. Family members also visited throughout the day to celebrate this remarkable achievement.
Freda said:
“I cannot believe I have reached 107 years old. I am still able to walk around and keep myself mobile. Everyone here is so supportive. Everyone asks what my secret is, but honestly I believe the hard work I did on my pig farm helped me stay fit and well.”
Kelley, Lifestyle Coordinator at Liberty House, said:
“I have been a part of the Liberty House family for over four years now, and every year Freda reaches a new milestone leaves me in complete awe of her. To see Freda still being active at 107 years old is absolutely brilliant.”
Kieley, Domestic Assistant at Liberty House, added:
“Freda is such an incredible woman. She has lots of stories from her past and I love to sit and listen to them.”
Reaching 107 years old is an amazing achievement, and everyone at Liberty House was delighted to celebrate Freda’s special day and the incredible life experiences she continues to share with those around her.
