Low Furlong Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, brought music and dancing to the home as residents and staff came together to experience a silent disco for the first time.
Residents and staff from Low Furlong put on their headphones, listened to their favourite music and danced along, creating plenty of smiles and laughter throughout the home.
The silent disco gave Low Furlong residents a new way to enjoy their favourite music, reminisce about happy memories and spend time together. It was a lovely opportunity for everyone to join in, share their enjoyment and connect through their shared love of music.
Staff were delighted to see residents getting involved, laughing and dancing together, with the activity creating plenty of smiles throughout the day.
Resident of Low Furlong, Chris, said: “It doesn’t matter your age or where you came from – once the music starts, everyone has a smile on their face. It was lovely to see everyone singing, dancing, and enjoying themselves together.”
The activity also highlighted the positive effect music can have on residents, with the team seeing a noticeable difference in their energy and enjoyment as they became immersed in the experience.
For Low Furlong, the highlight was seeing everyone getting involved and sharing laughter. The residents and staff had a great day.
