Residents and staff at Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have come together to officially launch a choir following several months of singing sessions held twice a week as part of the home’s regular wellbeing programme.
The mini concert marked the official launch of the newly named Warwick Park Choir, with residents choosing bright yellow uniforms inspired by spring daffodils. The choir is now eagerly preparing for its first performance on 29 August 2026.
The sessions have become a valued part of life at Park View, with both residents and staff praising the positive and uplifting atmosphere they create. Rob, who has been singing since 1982 and spent 25 years as a member of a professional choir, has played an important role in supporting and encouraging the group.
Residents have also shared their enjoyment of the choir, with Peggy saying: “I like it very much because of the atmosphere here, and the people make you laugh. I have started to love singing again because of this group.”
The choir continues to grow in popularity, with residents and staff describing it as a team effort that has brought life to the home and created a fantastic atmosphere.
