Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were all smiles as they set off on a joyful day out, combining a visit to the Maldon Petting Zoo with a lovely stroll along Promenade Park. The trip offered a perfect blend of animal fun and fresh air.
The idea was sparked during a recent residents’ meeting, where suggestions included both visiting a zoo and enjoying the waterfront views in Maldon. The team at Park View, made sure to bring both ideas to life, creating a full and fulfilling day for everyone involved.
The group began their adventure at Maldon Petting Zoo, where residents had the chance to meet and interact with a variety of friendly animals. “What a lovely time we had out on the minibus,” said resident Valerie, while fellow resident Carole added, “It was so nice to see all the different animals.”
After the zoo, residents enjoyed a gentle walk through Promenade Park, taking in the sights of the boats and soaking up the sunshine. The trip ended with a delicious lunch and plenty of chatter.
“The atmosphere was wonderful and full of excitement,” said the Lifestyle Coordinator. “It’s so important to us that residents have the opportunity to choose where they’d like to go, and we always aim to create magic moments they’ll remember.”
