Residents from Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, recently enjoyed a memorable outing to The Deanes School, where they were invited to watch a special performance by pupils from the school’s primary and secondary years.
The visit took place on 10 March 2026 and brought together students from across the school, from primary age through to Year 10, along with several residents from Park View. The event provided a wonderful opportunity for different generations to come together and share a joyful experience.
The atmosphere throughout the event was described as uplifting and heartwarming. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the performances and were delighted by the energy and enthusiasm shown by the children. A highlight for many was joining in by clapping and singing along to the music, while reminiscing and chatting about their own dancing days.
The event also included a raffle, which proved to be a big success among the residents, with three Park View residents winning prizes.
The visit was organised following an invitation arranged through Runwood Homes, allowing Park View residents to attend this special community event. The residents returned to Parkview full of smiles and stories from a truly enjoyable day. The visit highlighted the value of bringing communities together and strengthening relationships between generations.
