On International Nurse’s Day, care homes have recognised, celebrated and shown their appreciation for all the nurses both within their homes and their wider communities.
International Nurses Day was a perfect opportunity to take a moment to truly recognise the hard work of nurses, carers and all staff within the Group’s care homes. Many homes made creative displays to decorate the home for the day and each and every home expressed their thanks in their own meaningful and special ways.
Runwood Homes offer nursing care within a selection of its homes and so the organisation truly understands the inspiring and important role they play for residents and the community.
Rosedale Court, a residential, dementia and nursing care home in Rayleigh, Essex, celebrated their nurses by gifting them all a box of chocolates and rosettes and took the opportunity to showcase their brilliant experience and inspiring careers.
Claudia, Alice, Kofo and Marie are all nurses at the care home, each with their own rich and unique life experiences which help them in their profession.
Claudia has worked for Runwood Homes and Rosedale Court for eight years, and, as her role as clinical lead she leads seven nurses, guiding and supporting them in a way that helps to deliver a whole team approach to care.
Alice has gained much experience within healthcare and residential care and joined Runwood Homes in February. Her valuable experience has helped her to settle into her nursing role at Rosedale Court well.
Kofo is an RGN with a wealth of experience, both in the NHS and King Abdul Aziz National Guard Hospital, in Jeddah Saudi Arabia where she worked as nursing supervisor in trauma & orthopaedics. Kofo says ‘I love working at Rosedale Court. The company is excellent, and the staff are too!”
Marie has only just begun working at Rosedale Court after spending a valuable amount of time working in community care. She says “It was a lovely surprise to be acknowledged by the Home on International Nurses Day to recognise the hard work, commitment, and care that nurses around the world provide to a wide variety of patients and clients. Rosedale Court is a lovely care home to work at and everyday reflects Runwood Homes core values.”
Rosedale Court loved being able to feature some of the professional experiences of their talented team of nurses and very much recognise and appreciate the inspiring work they do every day.
