We’re excited to share the highlights from the  Runwood Homes Summer Conference 2025, which took place at the Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel & Country Club in Hertfordshire. This inspiring event brought together home managers, heads of departments, directors, and key partners for a day of learning, collaboration, and forward-thinking discussion.

The conference featured a range of insightful sessions focused on the continued development of our homes and innovative strategies to further enhance the quality of life for residents. Many attendees expressed how valuable the sessions were and shared their eagerness to apply the knowledge and ideas within their own teams.

A sincere thank you goes to Helen Kenny and Ronnie Ward from Blueleaf Care, who delivered an engaging and interactive presentation on improving resident wellbeing. Natalie Ravenscourt from NAPA gave a passionate and motivational talk on the vital role of meaningful activities in care settings. Katherine Imossi, our Head of Dementia Care, provided an informative and practical session on best practices in dementia care. We were also honoured to hear from guest speaker Jim Down, who shared an inspiring account of his experiences in the NHS and the importance of compassionate, patient-centred care.

Tom Sanders, Director of Construction and Facilities, offered valuable updates on the latest developments from Runwood and Sanders. Chris Williams contributed important insights into the evolving hospitality experience within our homes. The conference was hosted with by our Managing Director, Gavin, whose leadership contributed to making the day success.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to Gordon Sanders, CEO of Runwood Homes, and Sarah Sanders, Business Development Director, for their continued support, guidance, and initiatives that drive our mission forward.
