Residents at Wisden Court enjoyed a wonderful trip to a local farm on 16 July 2026, creating special memories while spending time with some very friendly animals.
The visit was organised by Lifestyle Coordinator Ally, with support from Angie and the residents, after Ally spoke with her nan, who kindly invited the group to visit her farm. Residents had the opportunity to meet her therapy horses and goats, enjoy the fresh air, and experience the joy that comes from connecting with animals.
After meeting the animals, residents continued their outing by visiting the café next door, where they relaxed together over tea and cakes and shared their favourite moments from the day.
Lifestyle Coordinator Ally said: “The animals made the residents really happy. It was lovely to see their excitement and the connection they had with the horses and goats. The atmosphere was fun, exciting and loving throughout the visit.”
The residents were delighted by their furry friends, with residents saying, “Awww the goats are so cute,” and another commenting, “The horse Emmie is so lovely.”
A standout moment of the trip was seeing the horse, which brought plenty of smiles and excitement. The farm visit was a fantastic opportunity for residents to enjoy a new experience, spend quality time together, and create happy memories outside of the home.
