On the 13th and 14th of August, Leawood Manor care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, hosted a vibrant Mardi Gras celebration, bringing together residents, families, friends, and staff for two days of unforgettable festivities. The event was filled with joy, music, and laughter, making it a highlight of the summer season.
The celebration featured a lively party where attendees danced to infectious beats, enjoyed a variety of wines, and indulged in a delicious buffet spread. Two talented singers provided live entertainment, keeping the energy high throughout the event. Even when the weather threatened to dampen the festivities, the spirit of Mardi Gras prevailed, and the celebration continued with enthusiasm and cheer.

The Home Manager, Leona, expressed heartfelt thanks to the Lifestyle Coordinator team for their outstanding efforts in organising the event, the kitchen staff led by Alan for preparing a fantastic spread, and Phil, the Maintenance Operative, for ensuring the marquee was ready despite the challenges. Special appreciation was also given to the residents who crafted the stunning Mardi Gras decorations, and to the friends and relatives whose support completes the Leawood Manor family.
