On Wednesday, 6 December, residents, volunteers, and staff from Windmill House care home in Wymondham embarked on a magical journey to Wymondham Garden Centre to experience the enchanting Christmas displays. The event marked a heartwarming occasion for the Windmill House community, providing a festive escape and fostering a sense of togetherness during the holiday season.
It was a fun-filled day of joy as residents experienced a host of delightful activities. A highlight of the outing was the enchanting Reindeer Sleigh Ride where residents were surrounded by the beauty of winter landscapes. The Nostalgic Steam Train provided a touch of reminiscence, taking everyone on a magical ride down memory lane.
Adding a local flare to the festivities, residents had the pleasure of meeting the famous celebrity cat of Wymondham. Known for spreading joy and cheer, the feline friend added an extra layer of magic to the Winter Wonderland experience.
The day was rounded off with delightful refreshments, creating a memorable experience for all who attended.
This outing not only showcased the commitment of Windmill House to providing a high quality of life for its residents but also served as a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and celebrate the holiday season. Resident, MD, had a lovely, positive and heartwarming experience and commented; “Thank you! I had such a lovely time. It was very special”.
