On the 4th December Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, Lifestyle coordinators arranged a festive craft event in the Day Centre. Activities hosted a heartwarming and hands-on craft session as residents, staff members, and family members came together to create their very own homemade hand wreaths. The event brought joy, laughter, and smiles as everyone joined in the creative activity, leaving their handprints on a shared wreath that will brighten up their home.

The event saw residents, staff, and family members from Westwood Care Home working side by side to take part in this meaningful and collaborative craft project. Everyone contributed by placing their handprints on the wreath, celebrating connection, creativity, and shared memories. The cheerful atmosphere was filled with teamwork, warmth, and creativity as participants bonded over this fun and engaging activity.

Pat, a resident of Westwood Care Home, shared, “I love that we’ve created something special together with everyone.”

Natasha & Chloe, Lifestyle Coordinators, shared their thoughts on the event: “This was such a special and joyful moment. We believe it is important for everyone to have the opportunity to be involved in these activities, creating cherished moments and connections that foster community and togetherness.”

This event reflects the heart of the Westwood care home’s commitment to creating opportunities that bring residents, families, and staff together for shared experiences. Through crafts like this, the team continues to foster connection, creativity, and joy.
