Jubilee Court Residents Ring in 2025 with a Spectacular New Year’s Eve Party

Jubilee Court care home, part of the Runwood Homes Group celebrated the arrival of 2025 with a heartwarming New Year’s Eve party that brought together residents, staff, friends and family and the local community. After the disappointment of having to cancel last year’s event, the residents were determined to make this year’s celebration unforgettable.

The evening was filled with entertainment, including a lively performance by the beloved local ukulele group, who have become a staple of Jubilee Court’s events. Guests were treated to a delightful banquet and enjoyed an array of fun games, creating a festive atmosphere that perfectly embodied the spirit of the season.

In recognition of their ongoing support and their contribution to the event, the Ukulele group, who performed free of charge, were presented with a special gift from the residents as a token of gratitude.

Deborah the Lifestyle Coordinator at Jubilee Court, who played a key role in organising the event and ensuring every detail was thoughtfully executed, shared her thoughts on the celebration:

“The Ukulele group, based right here in Hucknall, has become like family to us at Jubilee Court. It’s incredibly important for our residents to maintain an active and social lifestyle, as it greatly contributes to their mental well-being and overall happiness. This New Year’s Eve party was the perfect way to bring everyone together and welcome 2025 with joy and positivity. We’re thrilled that it was such a success.”

Residents and attendees expressed their delight at the opportunity to reconnect and celebrate as a community. One resident shared, “It was wonderful to see everyone together, laughing and enjoying themselves again.” Another attendee added, “The Ukulele performance brought back so many happy memories—it was truly the highlight of the evening.” The event underscored the importance of togetherness and the positive impact such gatherings have on everyone involved.
