On 16th January, residents of Frank Foster House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, embarked on an unforgettable trip to London, visiting the iconic Victoria and Albert Museum. The outing, organised to fulfil the residents’ wishes to explore one of the world’s leading museums, proved to be a delightful and memorable experience.

The idea for the trip was sparked by resident Maureen, who expressed her love for the museum and inspired the group to plan the visit. Nicolas Kee Mew, Home Manager, led the initiative to make the residents’ dream a reality.

Carlo, one of the residents, reflected on the visit with nostalgia: “I enjoyed my visit to the museum, and it reminded me of when I worked in London.”

Maureen shared her enthusiasm, stating simply: “I love the Victoria and Albert Museum.”

The atmosphere throughout the day was described as great and wholesome, with residents marvelling at the museum’s exhibits and reminiscing about their own connections to London.

Nicolas Kee Mew highlighted the significance of the trip: “This visit was important because it gave our residents the chance to reconnect with London, explore the Victoria and Albert Museum, and create new memories together.”

The trip is part of Frank Foster House’s commitment to providing meaningful experiences that enrich the lives of their residents. By listening to their interests and creating opportunities for exploration, the care home fosters a sense of community and adventure.

The residents returned with smiles, stories, and a renewed appreciation for London’s cultural treasures, making the outing a cherished highlight of the new year.
