Elizabeth House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is celebrating a remarkable achievement after being shortlisted as a finalist in the Care Home Awards 2025 in the Wellbeing category. This prestigious recognition highlights the home’s dedication to enhancing residents’ quality of life through a diverse range of engaging activities.
Ade, Home Manager of Elizabeth House, expressed the excitement of both staff and residents at being selected, stating that they are thrilled to be recognised among other leading care providers. He emphasized that this achievement is a testament to their commitment to residents’ satisfaction and overall wellbeing.
Elizabeth House is well known for its innovative and enriching wellbeing initiatives, offering residents experiences that go beyond traditional care. Residents regularly take part in a wide variety of activities, including visits from animals such as donkeys, birds, and horses, as well as exercise and sports competitions such as table tennis, snooker, and football. Music plays an important role in the home, with residents enjoying live performances and interactive music sessions. Classic car shows, trips to the local fire station, and weekly visits to the Salvation Army in Hadleigh provide further opportunities for social engagement and community involvement. The home also places great importance on celebrating the diverse backgrounds of its residents, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.
The idea to apply for the Care Home Awards came after a conference in December 2024, where it became clear that Elizabeth House was leading the way in wellbeing-focused care. The home officially submitted its entry on 15th January 2025 and was delighted to receive the news of their finalist status on 20th February 2025.
This recognition reflects the passion and dedication of the wellbeing staff, who work tirelessly to ensure residents have access to fulfilling and meaningful activities.
