As part of the Runwood Homes Group’s Summer Screen Soirée, Mulberry Court Care Home transformed into a whimsical Wonderland on Friday 25th July, with staff and residents embracing the magic of Alice in Wonderland for a themed movie day.
The home kicked off the day with a vibrant character catwalk, as staff delighted residents by dressing up as Alice, the Queen of Hearts, the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, and more. The fun extended throughout the home, with costumed staff making special visits to bedbound residents, ensuring everyone could share in the joy.
The celebrations continued with a colourful Mad Hatter’s Tea Party, where residents enjoyed sweet treats, lively conversation, and a charming, fantasy-filled atmosphere. One resident even joined in the fun by dressing up as a Wonderland character, bringing extra laughter and delight to the afternoon.
The event was part of a wider Summer Screen Soirée event and was specially designed to promote meaningful engagement and enhance well-being. Themed days like this one are particularly valuable for residents living with dementia or limited mobility, providing emotional comfort, stimulating memory, and creating opportunities for joyful shared experiences.
The team at Mulberry Court looks forward to many more themed events that inspire smiles and spark cherished memories for all who call the home theirs.
