Residents and community members from Jubilee Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have successfully completed a sponsored walk to raise funds for the Hope Lea Project, a local initiative supporting people with learning disabilities.
The group walked 14 miles from Jubilee Court to Nottingham and back, showing dedication, determination, and strong community spirit.
“This event brought our community closer together. Lots of people were happy to see us walking to raise money for such a meaningful cause,” said Deborah Mills. “The atmosphere was lovely, we met new people, shared positivity, and were determined to finish the challenge. The real highlight was reaching our goal and knowing the difference it would make.”
The funds raised will directly support outings and activities for individuals with learning disabilities, helping to strengthen community connections and improve lives. The Hope Lea Project is dedicated to supporting people with learning disabilities by providing opportunities, experiences, and community involvement that enhance quality of life.
