Residents, relatives, and staff from Carolyne House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together with their local church community to take part in a joyful and meaningful Macmillan Coffee Morning, helping to raise vital funds for people living with cancer.
The team at Carolyne House donated and baked a delicious selection of cakes for the event, which was hosted at the church. Residents and their families joined in the festivities, enjoying a lively morning filled with smiles, conversation, and, of course, plenty of cake.
“We love going to the church,” said one resident. “And having cake is a bonus!”
The event was a wonderful opportunity to strengthen community ties while supporting a cause close to many hearts. The cheerful, welcoming atmosphere made it a day to remember for everyone involved.
The collaboration with the church gave the residents of Carolyne House the chance to feel part of something bigger. Raising money for Macmillan while connecting with the local community made it even more special.
The Macmillan Coffee Morning is one of the UK’s biggest fundraising events, helping to provide financial, emotional, and medical support for people affected by cancer. Carolyne House is proud to take part and looks forward to continuing these important community partnerships.
