Residents and staff of Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together at the Café Bar to support Breast Cancer Awareness, taking part in a day filled with fun, community, and fundraising. The event saw everyone dressing in pink and getting creative by icing cakes, all in aid of this important cause.
The initiative aimed to raise awareness and remind everyone of the importance of supporting breast cancer research and those affected. “It was nice to raise money for a very good cause,” commented Diane, the Lifestyle Co-ordinator at Park View Care Home.
The atmosphere throughout the day was warm and cheerful, with residents enjoying time together and sharing personal stories. One of the highlights of the day was seeing residents connecting over this meaningful cause and reflecting on its importance.
The event is part of an annual tradition at the home, fostering community spirit while contributing to a national cause that affects so many lives.
