Residents of Park View Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, were recently treated to a wonderful afternoon thanks to the generosity of Richard’s Funeral Directors, who kindly organised a special outing in their beautifully maintained car, complete with afternoon tea at Cherry Lane Garden Centre.
The trip began at Park View Care Home before residents set off in style, enjoying a scenic ride that brought smiles and laughter all around. Upon arrival, everyone was treated to delicious tea and scones, followed by a leisurely walk around the garden centre. The atmosphere was filled with joy as residents shared stories and enjoyed each other’s company.
One of the residents shared:
“What a treat it was to go out in such a lovely car and have afternoon tea.”
The Lifestyle Coordinator on behalf of the team at Park View Care Home commented:
“We just want to say a massive thank you to Richard’s Funeral Directors for taking us out today to Cherry Lane Garden Centre and treating us to tea, scones, and a lovely walk around the garden centre. We all laughed and laughed — it was such a wonderful day filled with great company and smiles all around! A special thank you to Lou — Roy and Chris were very impressed with your driving skills and absolutely loved the car ride! Thanks again for such a thoughtful and enjoyable outing — it truly meant a lot to all of us. “
The highlight of the day was seeing the residents’ faces light up when the stretch limo arrived, a moment of pure excitement and delight for everyone.
