Ivy Court Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, proudly continued its commitment to supporting the local community by partnering with the charity Maltby Together for its November and December charity initiative. The festive campaign focused on collecting toy donations for children from less fortunate backgrounds, helping to spread kindness and Christmas cheer.
Over the two-month period, Ivy Court set up a donation storage box in the reception area and promoted the appeal throughout the home. Staff, residents, and families generously donated toys, demonstrating the strong sense of community spirit within Ivy Court.
On 16 December, the Ivy Court team visited Lee from Maltby Together to personally deliver all the donated presents. The visit was filled with happiness and emotion, as everyone involved reflected on the positive impact the donations would have on local children.
Lee, who runs Maltby Together, shared his appreciation for the generosity shown:
“The kindness and support shown by the staff and residents at Ivy Court has been incredible. Their generosity will make a real difference to children in our community.”
Stacey Dean, Home Manager at Ivy Court, highlighted the importance of the initiative:
“Giving back to our community is an important part of life at Ivy Court. Our monthly charity events allow residents, families, and staff to come together for a meaningful cause. Knowing we have helped keep spirits high for children in need is something we are all very proud of.”
The initiative forms part of Ivy Court ‘s ongoing monthly charity drop-off programme, which aims to strengthen community connections while creating shared moments of purpose and enjoyment for residents.
