Wisden Court, part of the Runwood Homes group, residents were treated to a truly unique and heartwarming festive surprise on 18 December 2025 with a special Christmas goat visit, bringing smiles, laughter, and plenty of festive cheer throughout the home.
The visit was organised by Ally Francis, Wellbeing Lead at Wisden Court, who took the friendly goat around the home to meet residents. The unexpected guest quickly became the star of the day, spreading joy and creating memorable moments for everyone involved.
Residents shared their delight at the surprise, with comments including:
“She is so cute,”
“Can we keep her?”
“What a lovely Christmas surprise.”
Simple moments like this can have a huge impact, bringing joy, laughter, and a sense of excitement to the day. It was wonderful to see everyone’s reactions.
The idea for the visit came about when a family member kindly offered to bring the goat into Wisden Court, allowing residents to enjoy a fun and interactive experi
ence they may not normally encounter.
The atmosphere throughout the day was described as happy, bubbly, and enjoyable, reinforcing Wisden Court’s commitment to creating uplifting and meaningful experiences that enhance residents’ wellbeing, especially during the festive season.
