A resident at Lower Meadow care home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, is celebrating a major achievement after publishing his first book, now available on Amazon.
Rachel Walker, Lower Meadows Home Manager, praised Brian’s success after the book was officially published on 30 March 2026. Based on his real-life experiences working on a farm, the story reflects Brian’s humour and personality. Brian is “over the moon” to see his work in print.
Brian has been writing the book for some time and has overcome health challenges along the way. Since moving to Lower Meadow, he has shown determination in improving his wellbeing and is now working towards living independently again.
Rachel Walker said: “This is a testament that living in a care home does not stop you from achieving your goals. We support our residents to live life fully, take on new challenges, and follow their aspirations.”
