Residents at Elizabeth House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a day filled with nostalgia, laughter, and community spirit when members of the Triumph Sports 6 Club visited the home with a stunning collection of vintage cars on 25 May 2026.
The special event was organised after a resident’s daughter, who is a member of the club, kindly offered to bring a selection of classic vehicles to the home for residents to admire and experience up close.
Residents, families, carers, and the wellbeing team all came together to enjoy the occasion, which sparked conversations and created a vibrant atmosphere throughout the day. Many residents were thrilled to sit behind the wheel of the classic cars and reminisce about their own experiences with motoring over the years.
Resident Bob added:
“What a great day. I loved seeing the cars and being able to get inside of them.”
The event highlighted the importance of community engagement and meaningful activities in promoting social interaction and wellbeing among residents. The classic cars not only brought excitement to the home but also encouraged residents to connect through shared memories and experiences.
One of the standout moments of the day was seeing the residents’ reactions as the cars arrived, with smiles, amazement, and excitement lighting up faces across the home.
Elizabeth House would like to thank the Triumph Sports 6 Club for helping create such a special and memorable experience for everyone involved.
