Staff at Bramwell Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, have successfully completed an inspiring 25-mile sponsored walk from the home to Nottingham Arboretum, raising £430 for residents’ activities.
The fundraising event took place on 16 May 2026, with staff and family members coming together to take on the challenge in support of enhancing the lives and wellbeing of residents at Bramwell Care Home.
The initiative was organised by the Bramwell Care Home team as a way to demonstrate compassion, teamwork, and dedication to creating meaningful experiences for residents. Funds raised will go directly towards activities and opportunities that enrich daily life within the home.
Mable, Home Manager at Bramwell Care Home, said:
“It is important for staff to raise money for residents’ activities because it helps improve residents’ quality of life, wellbeing, and happiness. Fundraising provides extra opportunities.”
The atmosphere following the completion of the walk was filled with pride, excitement, and togetherness, as staff celebrated both the achievement of completing the 25-mile challenge and the positive impact the fundraising will have on residents.
Residents were deeply touched by the efforts made on their behalf, with the event strengthening the sense of community within the home.
