Residents at Maun View Care Home part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a heartwarming afternoon of friendship, celebration and delicious food as the home’s wellbeing and kitchen teams came together to make special wishes come true as part of the home’s 2026 Make A Wish initiative.
The special celebration took place on 17th May 2026, when four residents gathered for a relaxed Sunday lunch in honour of resident Hazel’s 93rd birthday.
After sharing their wish to spend quality time together over Sunday lunch, Maun View Care Home’s team worked to make the occasion a reality. Sandra, Lifestyle Coordinator, alongside Kerry, Cook at Maun View Care Home, organised and prepared a beautiful lunch in the home’s activities room, creating the perfect setting for the four friends to enjoy a meaningful afternoon together while celebrating Hazel’s milestone birthday.
Sandra said:
“It was a lovely, relaxed lunch. It was amazing to be able to make the wishes come true of four of our residents for Hazel’s 93rd birthday.”
