Residents at Westwood Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, came together for a fun-filled afternoon of food, friendship, and entertainment during a special Pizza Party held on Tuesday 9 June 2026.
Taking place in the home’s cinema room in the afternoon, the event saw residents roll up their sleeves and get involved in making their own homemade pizzas before settling down to enjoy a film, refreshments, and plenty of laughter.
The activity was organised following discussions with residents about activities they would enjoy taking part in. The Pizza Party brought staff and residents together in a relaxed and welcoming environment, encouraging social interaction and supporting wellbeing through meaningful engagement and shared experiences.
One of the highlights of the afternoon was watching residents unwind and enjoy the film while tucking into their homemade pizzas and cheesy chips. The event created a warm sense of community and gave residents the opportunity to spend quality time together in a comfortable and enjoyable setting.
