Baby Goats and Rabbits Bring Smiles to Residents at Windmill House

Residents at Windmill House Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes Group, enjoyed a truly special afternoon of animal therapy as local visitor Evie Owls brought along an adorable collection of baby goats and rabbits for everyone to meet.

The special event, held on 16 June 2026, gave residents the opportunity to stroke and cuddle the friendly animals, bottle-feed the baby goats, and watch them happily run, jump and play together. The gentle rabbits were equally popular, contentedly sitting on residents’ laps while receiving plenty of fuss and affection.

The visit was enjoyed by residents and staff alike, creating an afternoon filled with laughter, smiles and heartwarming moments. One of the highlights was watching the mischievous baby goats scamper around the home, prompting plenty of giggles as they playfully explored their surroundings.

Resident JR said:
“It was a wonderful afternoon bottle-feeding the goats, watching them jump around and having cuddles with the rabbits.”

Resident MW added:
“It was a perfect afternoon interacting with the animals.”

Volunteer JI commented:
“How lovely for the residents.”
