Bramwell Care Home Brings Community Together with Street Party for Care Home Open Week

Residents, families, staff and members of the local community came together for a vibrant street party at Bramwell Care Home, part of the Runwood Homes group, as part of this year’s Care Home Open Week celebrations.

The event, held on 19 June 2026, transformed the home into a lively community gathering, complete with a barbecue, fresh fruit, refreshments and live entertainment from the popular Stapleford UkiDoodles Band. The afternoon was filled with music, laughter and conversation as guests enjoyed the opportunity to celebrate together.

The street party welcomed residents, their loved ones, staff and local community members, highlighting Bramwell’s commitment to building strong connections beyond the care home.

Mable Joloza, Home Manager at Bramwell Care Home, said:

“Taking part in Care Home Open Week gives us a wonderful opportunity to connect with our local community and showcase the high-quality care we provide to our residents. It also allows us to celebrate the lives of the people who call Bramwell home and create lasting memories with their families, friends and neighbours.”

The atmosphere throughout the afternoon was vibrant and full of excitement, with a strong sense of togetherness. Guests enjoyed spending time with one another, sharing stories, laughter and memorable experiences in the sunshine.

Care Home Open Week provides care homes across the country with the chance to open their doors, welcome visitors and demonstrate the important role they play within their communities. Bramwell’s street party was a fitting celebration of community spirit and the meaningful relationships at the heart of the home.
