Frank Foster House Brings a Tropical Twist to Staying Hydrated

Residents and staff at Frank Foster House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, came together to enjoy a fun-filled tropical-themed hydration event designed to encourage fluid intake and keep everyone comfortable during the recent spell of hot weather.

The home’s hydration trolley proved to be a great success, offering residents a variety of refreshing drinks in an engaging and enjoyable way. Staff transformed the initiative into a tropical experience, complete with Hawaiian-inspired decorations, cooling fans, and a swimming pool-themed activity, creating a cheerful atmosphere while promoting health and wellbeing.

The event brought residents and staff together, with everyone taking part in making hydration fun and accessible. By combining creativity with practical care, the initiative helped residents stay hydrated while enjoying social interaction and meaningful activities.

Nicolas, Home Manager, said:
“It’s great to see the team coming up with such creative ideas to help keep our residents hydrated. Their enthusiasm and commitment to making hydration enjoyable has had a really positive impact on residents’ comfort and wellbeing during the hot weather.”

Resident Christine added:
“We have lots of new ideas. We had mocktails last time, and this time we went with a Hawaiian theme. It’s been great fun for everyone.”

The hydration initiative highlights Frank Foster House’s commitment to providing person-centred care, with residents and staff working together to create a positive, engaging environment that supports health, wellbeing, and enjoyment throughout the summer months.
