Residents and staff at Leatherland Lodge care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, enjoyed a Wimbledon-themed party, celebrating all things tennis.
The celebration was well attended, with residents, staff, family, and friends all coming together for the occasion. Guests enjoyed a classic spread of traditional English fayre, including cream tea, strawberries, meringues and cream, and freshly served scones with jam and clotted cream.
The Wimbledon atmosphere carried through the day, with residents watching the tennis while enjoying Pimm’s and cocktails, adding to the occasion. Some residents even took part in friendly games of tennis.
Many residents, who are keen tennis fans, enjoyed cheering on the players during the match. Events like this are held monthly at the home, encouraging residents to stay active and social.
