Windmill House enjoys vibrant Bollywood Morning

Windmill House care home, part of the Runwood Homes group, was filled with colour, music, and energy on 4th July 2026 as residents, families, and staff came together for a joyful Bollywood Morning featuring performers Bollywood Sparkle.

The gardens were filled with vibrant colours, lively music, and energetic dance routines as the performers entertained residents in the sunshine. Residents enjoyed watching the performance and joining in with the dancing and seated movements where they could.

The event was made even more special as Lifestyle Coordinator Steph, joined in dressed in a Bollywood outfit, helping to create a fully immersive and inclusive experience for everyone involved. The idea for the visit originally came from plans for a culture month celebration, with the group booked at the earliest available date due to their weekly teaching schedule.

The atmosphere throughout was described as magical, with many residents and guests captivated by the colours, music, and performances. A particular highlight was when residents were invited to learn sections of the dance routines and join in with the performers.

Lifestyle Coordinator Steph said:

“We all enjoyed the beautiful Saturday morning sunshine in our gardens watching the Bollywood dancers in their fantastic outfits and joining in where we could with the dancing.”

The event focused on promoting wellbeing, movement, and shared enjoyment through engaging cultural entertainment.
